Hot Summer Romance Giveaway Hop

Hello, and welcome to the Hot Summer Romance Giveaway Hop!

Welcome to four days of celebrating romance!

Because, you know, romance should be celebrated. In this day and age, where everything is fast and easy, not everyone is willing or able to make the effort needed to find and connect with The One.

Not when The Next One can be right around the corner.

Human relationships have turned into quick, effortless exchanges; we take what’s given, give what doesn’t cost us, and move on. But that’s obviously not enough, or there wouldn’t be so many of us looking to get lost inside an epic/tragic/lustful/witty/inspiring/whatever Romance novel.

I used to believe I couldn’t afford to fall in love. I’d been burned one too many times–and was enjoying myself without romantic attachments anyway, so why bother? It took a relentless romantic, who wouldn’t allow distance or my stubbornness keep him from winning my heart, to open my eyes to what I was missing.

Now I’m living my own romance. It’s not perfect, and it doesn’t involve weekend getaways to Paris (though it might if our finances ever improved), but it  does involve my heart feeling safe and warm with a man who cleans up the house if I need to write, whispers naughty things in my ear when we’re at my parents’ place, and gives me foot-rubs after a long day. And I wouldn’t have it any other way.

So take the time to live your romance. Whether it’s for a weekend or eternity, it does the heart good to take risks and fall in love. And hey, even if your romance ends up in heartache, at least you’ll have felt the all-consuming need to share yourself with someone who makes you…happy.

As a Greek song says, “The heart always hurts when it grows taller.”

Let your heart grow taller.

And now for the giveaways…

More than 150 authors, bloggers, reviewers, etc. have come together to shower you with love, heat of all levels, and goodies.

Each participating blog will be hosting a giveaway, but there will also be TWO Grand Prizes:

#1 is a Kindle Fire
#2 is a $50 Amazon.com gift certificate.

For my part, I’m offering up a paperback copy of my Erotic Urban Fantasy novel, Cherry Stem.

Turned at the cusp of a promising career in the adult movie industry, Cherry Stem has to rely on her mesmerizing vampire gaze for her meals and money. With the rent deadline approaching, settling for pocket change isn’t an option, so she reluctantly decides to let tall, dark, and handsome Detective Alex Marsden take her home for the night and fulfill her needs.

Only she gets more than she bargained for.

When Cherry meets Alex, she expects him to be nothing more than another “girl meets boy, girl feeds from boy, girl erases boy’s memories” hook-up. Once missing young women, the vampire council, and her irresistible ex are thrown into the mix though, she realizes nothing is as simple or random as she thought it was.

And Alex is either the biggest gift or the biggest mistake of her un-life.

The giveaway is international!

Leave a comment (with your email address) and enter the draw on July 18th. Just make sure you’re over your country’s legal age–though if you’re not, you shouldn’t be here to begin with! Winners will be announced July 23rd.

  3. I felt the same way before I met my DH, my heart had just been broken way too many times and I swore I would never ever fall in love again that was until my DH came into my life who was so patient but never gave up on me.

I know, which is why I can't help but write happy endings. Sigh. If someone could only explain it to my dad, who keeps saying I should be writing “important stuff.” Romance novels are important!

    Good luck with the giveaway!

  5. I'm glad you decided to give him a chance. 🙂 Then again, I think that if we hadn't had our hearts broken in the past, maybe we wouldn't recognize a good man.

  6. I am so fortunate to be living my romance everyday….although the getaways to Paris would be awesome…maybe someday. 🙂

  7. I loved your encouragement to folks to pursue romance; all happiness includes pain, a bit of heartbreak, some sort of disappointment. Love is work; all things worth having are worth working for. Those things we are given for free, we tend to take for granted. The things we work for (even if it's remembering to whisper those naughty things in his ear), we appreciate more and we want to work even harder to keep. This is why, I think, we love those novels that show a bit of relationship work in them, but have a happy ending. We want hope for ourselves and our own happy endings – proof that our hard work will ultimately pay off. I truly hope my little note pays off with a copy of your book. michelle_willms@yahoo.com

  8. Wow, this book sounds so good. I like that it sounds as if it has some good steamy stuff going with it, but also quite a good storyline running around as well. The information above about it didn't leave enough! It sucked (pun!) you in to the point where you have to know more! That's how it's done. I have added it to my to read list because I need to know what happens with Cherry, Alex, and the whole mess of others are thrown into the mix! The cover is also very eye catching. I love it.

Thank you for the chance to enter the giveaway and I hope everyone has a wonderful summer~
